Why aren’t they included in the new NFPA 99 2012 edition? Does the cost of using these out weigh the costs of not using them? I could see a real benefit in facilities where bootlegged work was tied in, demo projects and at locations where valves were not added. they are approved per the 2005 code, 184.108.40.206 (4)).
